oxohash

The oxohash was created to address the technical limitations of the popular # symbol.

The # symbol is a “special character”.

That means is cannot be used for creating some web assets.

Examples include domain names.

Those limitations don’t apply to images.

So by adding a horizontal mirror image of the # symbol to an image provides an alternative.
